Shotcrete
Shotcrete (or Pneumatic Applied Concrete), is concrete that can be applied/sprayed to vertical and overhead faces with the additional force of compressed air. To enable the concrete to stick to the surface it must have excellent adhesion capability and low slump to enable it to remain in place as it cures. The enhanced quality of Undercon’s Shotcrete (or PAC), is achieved through the addition of supplementary pozzolanic material and chemical admixtures.
Sprayed concrete must be applied with sufficient force to fill all the cavities and voids to achieve full density, too much force and the coarse aggregates will rebound off the reinforcing mesh compromising the mix design. Undercon’s Shotcrete (PAC) has a perfect blend of both fine and coarse aggregates to minimise rebound while providing optimum strength and shrinkage control.
Undercon has three products to choose from starting with the base Strata Stabilisation for all general purpose applications where minimising cost is important. Undercon also provides Peristaltic Pumps suitable for simple application of the Shotcrete.

Undercon’s Mine Mix is a high strength low shrinkage waterproof concrete that has a high single pass build capability with enhanced adhesion.

Undercon’s Overhead Mix is designed for strata stabilisation from roof falls or cathedral ceilings where adhesion is paramount. This mix can also be applied in thin layers to coal dust sensitive areas such as electrical transformer cut thru’s, CABA or SCSR Cache’s.
