Adam Benson
Founder
Adam started working for himself as a subcontractor in 1980. Adam & Louise went on to incorporate the company in July 1986. In that time, they completed contracts for leading Developers, Construction & Mining Companies in NSW & QLD. From 2001-2004 several projects were completed for Roche Mining at Wambo Mine – Hunter Valley, Werris Creek – Gunnedah Basin & Balbone – Southern CoalFields. Projects include open cut coal mine heavy equipment workshops, wash down bays & sumps, bunded fuel farms, comms towers & admin infrastructure.
In 2004, Adam took on a project concreting the inseam drift at Anglo Coals Dartbrook Mine in the Hunter Valley. Over the next few years Undercon went on to complete projects for UGM Engineers at over 15 different mine sites in NSW & QLD.
In 2009 Undercon moved to direct contracts with the Mine owners starting at Beltana Highwall Mine at Broke NSW. Undercon went on to service several other Xstrata, Glencore, Anglo & BMA Underground Collieries with a workforce of 25 specialist concreters & office staff.
In 2010 Adam lodged his first patent for the Concrete Mixer Kibble. The Undercon Concrete Mixer Kibble revolutionised the way concrete was transported and placed underground making it safer & faster.
Adam holds two more patents, one for a Collapsible Silo Trailer for bulk storage of cement or flowable products & the other for the Wet Bag designed for the storage of bagged concrete mix materials.
